Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi set to play Big Bash League this year

Afghanistan has achieved a decent of success since their entrance into International cricket. The country has produced immensely talented cricketers such as Shapoor Zadran, Dawlat Zadran, Asghar Stanikzai and Mohammad Shahzad. Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan are also top-notch players who will make their first appearance in the Big Bash League for their respective sides.

Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi are premier players who have made a name for themselves by playing in different leagues all over the world. Afghanistan’s leg-spinner Rashid Khan has collected 68 wickets in 31 one-day internationals. Rashid also bagged his career best figures of 7 for 18 against West Indies in 2017.

He also achieved another milestone as Rashid Khan took a hat-trick for Guyana Amazon. He also became the youngest player to take 100 wickets in T20 Internationals in the year 2017. Rashid Khan has enjoyed reasonable amount of success in the Indian Premier League. He has received immense amount of recognition from former players and pundits such as Tom Moody and VVS Laxman. Rashid bagged 17 wickets in 14 games in his first season of Indian Premier League. He was roped in by Adelaide Strikers for the upcoming season of BBL.

All-rounder Mohammad Nabi has not been far behind in terms of accolades at the international level. He made his debut for Afghanistan in 2009 and has taken 172 wickets in 151 T20 International at a superb average of 20.76. He also 88 wickets to his name in the limited-overs format while Nabi also took part in Indian Premier League and Caribbean Premier League this year.

He is good striker of a cricket ball and can smash it a mile as seen by performances in the past for Afghanistan. Nabi scored over 1,500 runs in shorter formats of the game and has represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2017. Melbourne Renegades have shown immense faith as management has decided to rope in Nabi for the upcoming edition of Big Bash League.
