Australia’s Glenn Maxwell to miss warm-up game against Pakistan

Australia’s Glenn Maxwell is set to miss the second warm-up game against Pakistan which is scheduled to be played at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. He sustained a minor knee injury during the first warm-up game against Sri Lanka in which Australia came out on top.

The side will be hoping Maxwell recovers in time for their first game of the ICC Champions Trophy against arch-rivals New Zealand on 2nd June at Edgbaston. The injury sustained by Maxwell is a minor one as he should be able to get back to full fitness in time for Australia’s first game.

He has been in good form after playing well in the T20 format in recently concluded Indian Premier League. Glenn Maxwell is certainly going to be a massive player for Australia if they are to clinch their third title in the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy to be played in England and Wales.
