England middle-order Ian Bell is hoping to have a good run in the upcoming T20 competition to push for national selection in the longer format of the game. Bell fell out of favor after failing to score runs on a consistent basis. He said that his international career is not over as he has still a lot to offer to England in terms of runs in test cricket.
Bell also played in Big Bash League for the winners Perth Scorchers as he averaged almost 33 in the ten matches played in the competition. He stated he was fortunate for England side for almost 12 years but was focused to part of the setup for next Ashes series down under against Australia. Probably renowned as Test Specialist for three Lions given his long career for the side, has now stressed on playing more T20 cricket to add more things into his armory as a batting.
Ian Bell is now at par with Sir Ian Botham as the second player to have won six Ashes with the England team.
