Pakistan have announced their 16-man squad for the upcoming one-day series against Sri Lanka. Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz have been included in the limited-overs squad for the home series against Sri Lanka. Pakistan Head Coach and Chief Selector, Misbah-ul-Haq had announced the squad ahead of the three-match series that will begin from 27th September in Karachi.

Misbah clearly stated that Iftikhar has produced impressive numbers with the bat in the List A cricket and has been a consistent performer in the last couple of seasons. He said that Iftikhar can also bowl off-spin which would provide Pakistan with the lot of options in the 50-over format.

He makes a return to the limited-overs squad and will be keen to make an impression with the bat in this three-match one-day series.
