New Zealand have suffered a setback as Ross Taylor will not play second game of the series against South Africa due to injury sustained in the first game. The right-handed batsman suffered from torn calf muscle that saw him leave the field while batting in the first innings. Neil Broom is to replace Taylor in the squad for the second test at Basin Reserve in Wellington. Broom has included due to his decade old experience in the first class circuit will boost hosts middle order resources.
Trent Boult is another player who left the playing field after discomfort in his leg as he is being monitored ahead of the second test that will begin on 16th March.Boult’s condition has improved as he did not bowl in the practice sessions conducted ahead of the second test against South Africa.
